Drawer Project
I bet you are thinking how does she have time to work on a project in the midst of launching her online store. I don't. I actually made this project a while ago and still think it's a good one. No matter what your style, you can simply change the fabric and type of drawer to your liking.
I first stained the outside of the drawer and attached bits of spindles for the feet. I cut fabric to fit and decoupaged to the inside of the drawer. Adding grosgrain ribbon, glue, and upholstery tacks was the finishing step. Really simple!
Great for crafts, magazines, holiday cards...skip the feet and hang it on a wall to display your most precious junk items or photos. Of course, you can add a cushion and kitty or a small dog might just curl up in it!
Peace,
Ki
How cute, love it.
ReplyDeleteI have some old sewing machine drawers I bought years ago, I think this would be such a cute thing to do with them.
I too have done this project, saw the one you did as my inspiration.
ReplyDeleteIt's a fun, and easy one.

ReplyDeleteI love this idea!! I could see all of my vintage photos in here easily! It is really beautiful! I have a little shop and I sale "chatter-tiles". I use sewing machine drawers to show them in. Perfect size and you can move them around so easily to look at them!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog!
P.S. I love to recycle too...
ReplyDeleteok, I was just gonna let it be...but then again....... The drawer on feet is a cute idea and I'm going to try that. Now, ahem.....about that yarn arrangement inside the drawer. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the most beautiful, clever and simplist ideas, thank-you!!!
