Party Junk!
I'm throwing a party and you are invited! My decorations are junk. Really.
Handmade invitations embellished with vintage pins and earrings.
Place card holders crafted from percolator, decanter, and serving dish tops.
Cold cream jars filled with wheat grass, floral tubes, and daisies.
Glass and silver drink coasters double as cupcake plates.
Scraps from a yo yo quilt + ribbon for napkin ties.
Crochet potholders for drink coasters.
Pretty gravy boat serves up cocktail napkins.
Vintage handbag filled with flowers.
Thanks for coming! Happy Spring!

Thank you for the invitation to your junk party. I just loved my invitation. It was so pretty. The flowers smelled pretty, too. The cupcakes we delicious. Did you make them!?! And I so hated to use the coaster. I hope my drink didn't leave a stain on it!!!(hehe)
ReplyDeleteI'll be using some of your ideas for my next party.

Thanks Ki for all the inspiration! I love seeing the fresh sweet colors that you can discover in junk. Keep up the great work!! Brenda
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute post! Thank you for the invite....everything was so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI love the cold cream jar idea! I picked up a couple at the antique market last summer, now I know what I'm doing with them!
ReplyDeleteSo cute--here is my question. What guage wire do you use on the placecard holders? How do you get the kinks out of the wire? I like to use bailing wire because it looks rusty. It comes on a paddle and I can never get it completely straight. Thanks Ki--I wish it was springy around here.
ReplyDeleteKi, what a wonderful part your threw! I enjoyed myself so much. The decorations were the party! what a great host. Girl you do know how to entertain!!Dawn
ReplyDeleteI use 18 gauge florist wire. It comes in sticks 12-18" long. Roll wire works for circles and very short straight runs. (Be sure to ask for the natural metal color, it also comes in green.)
ReplyDeletePeace,
Ki
