Killer Junk!
I just returned from a 2 day adventure, junking in Iowa with my buddies Jane and Sarah. I wasn't planning on buying anything...it was strictly a photo safari for me. The magnificent glider above was that thing I wasn't planning on buying. I couldn't resist. I know you would have done the same thing. Right?
I will do a full blown post about What Cheer flea market and all the great shops we visited along the way, including our last stop where I put down the camera and took out my wallet!
The killer glider will be for sale at Junk Bonanza ...I don't have anywhere to put it. At least I can own it for a little while. Tell me I am not crazy!
Peace
Ki

Cool glider, Great find, I can see why you picked it up. It's so hard NOT to buy. You should make it into a picture spot for the bonanza. It's gonna be famous now like Sandy was last year.

ReplyDeleteOh KI!!!! I am soooo jealous...I'm turnin' green like the Incredible Hulk!!! I saw that glider on someone else's blog this week...even commented on it...can't remember whose blog...and now it's living in Minnesota??? Actually, it couldn't have gone home with a better person.:o} Enjoy! *elaine*
ReplyDeleteThat is one fab glider! It is absolutely magnificent. I'm wondering if it really is going to be given up for adoption by Junk Bonanza time! Please keep us updated.

ReplyDeleteDefinitely not crazy on that one. It's gorgeous--I'm a sucker for complimentary colors and it's a glider! Oh some day I will have a porch and a glider, indeed :) Happy junking to you and can't wait to see the photos from your trip!
ReplyDeleteYou could you pass up a glider like that one. It was calling your name!
ReplyDeleteStan
Oh my, that is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI love old gliders. I just bought one at a yard sale for $10. It's not quite as fabulous as the one you found though.
ReplyDeleteYou are not crazy. I am a sucker for green and red...the richness is outstanding and so it the patina. You are not crazy...it is perfect.
ReplyDeleteJanet
If that was me I could not pass that by or buy - lol. I have to have anything that is red and green. You were in the right place at the right time.
ReplyDeleteSure hope you gals got home OK...it was great to see ya again...well I got to enjoy the glider too for a moment in time, but maybe some lucky gal will have the perfect space for this sweet lil' relic.
ReplyDeleteWish we could make it to the show, but moving the shop 'White' to it's new location across the street will be our agenda for quite awhile...my feet still hurt!
I'm having withdrawals over that piece you know...
sharon
Hi Ki!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the slider!!!! Wish I could haul that one back to Houston...but, I am sure there would be plenty of us southern gals biting and scratching to take that one home! :)

ReplyDeleteYou're teasing me, right? I've been looking for a glider all summer and have all my dealer friends looking for me, too. Can you bring it to Chicago? I'm totally serious. I have a house full of junk waiting for you to schlep back to your house so the trip will be worthwhile.
